My Care Portfolio is a 3-week pre-employment programme designed to train inexperienced individuals on how to become a care worker. On completion of the programme all learners will achieve Level 1 Cert in Introduction to Health and Social Care and Level 1 Award in Digital Skills. In addition to this, learners will also carry out a series of specialist training courses which include areas such as Manual Handling, Personal Care, Pressure Area Care etc.

• leadership and management skills. It is aimed at all those who wish to work or are already working in health

The Level 2 Certificate and Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care enables applied study of the
health and social care sector, providing learners with an introduction to key areas relating to current
practice.
The mandatory units aim to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of key subject areas in
health and social care. The optional units within the Extended Diploma allow learners to pursue an
interest in chosen subject areas.

The qualification aims to develop learners' knowledge and awareness of dementia for those working in social care settings. It is aimed at learners in school or college, or those working for local authorities or private commercial homeowners.
Learners will develop an understanding and awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia. The qualification may also allow learners to progress into employment in social care settings

Step Into Care is a 4 week pre-employment training programme designed to provide training and support for you to be able to work in any care setting. The course allows you to look at different aspects of care work in healthcare and support environments. During the course you will complete two accredited qualifications, one in Care and one in Digital Skills.
